The distinctive golden head covering called a Nettipattam (caparison) is a famous and traditional handicraft of Kerala, that is used to adorn the forehead of an elephant during ceremonial occasions. Now people feel proud to have this handcrafted model on the walls as a symbol of prosperity and strength.
